A battlefield with something to defend
Emberwatch is Hearthvale’s cooperative wave-defense activity. Enemy attackers threaten the outer village before pressing on toward the fort. Your job is to fight, react to field objectives, and use the battle menu to support the defense.
The boss bar tracks the battle, while important objectives and destroyed buildings receive on-screen alerts. Read the entrance guidance before committing your supplies.
Recruit, prepare, and repair
Recruitable swordsmen help fight the attackers. Fort upgrades and repairs give you choices about where to spend coins during a defense. Repairs apply to the fort; the outer village is not currently repairable.
Doran also serves the battlefield, so equipment maintenance can be part of preparing for the next push. Bring gear suitable for your skill level rather than relying on a stronger-looking item you cannot use.
The waves keep growing
Enemies become more demanding as the defense continues. A captain appears every five waves, with later captains gaining more health. Surviving an early wave does not mean the same preparation will carry you through every later one.
When playing with friends, decide who will watch approaching enemies, who will pursue the current objective, and who will check fort services between attacks. Those are practical team choices, not fixed character classes.
Find your way to the front
Speak to the Captain’s Envoy and visit the battlefield through that interaction to earn the battlefield warp. Afterwards, /warps provides a return route when your destination is unlocked.
Hearthvale remains in active testing. Battlefield balance, rewards, and pacing can change as players try longer defenses.
