Make a village your shared project

Choose a wilderness location and decide who will own the village. The owner manages upgrades and trusted residents. Residents share building access, so agree on the village plan before inviting everyone.

A useful first project might be a food-growing area, a workshop, and a clear route between homes. Village upgrades add benefits and capacity; players still design and place the buildings themselves.

Prepare in different ways

One friend might enjoy gathering materials, another might prefer crafting and gear, and another might focus on combat. Hearthvale’s skill system lets you work toward different goals while contributing to a shared plan.

Keep personal equipment requirements in mind. Passing a weapon to someone does not give them the skill level needed to use it. Personal storage services also do not automatically become a shared village bank.

Take the group to Emberwatch

Before entering a defense, check food, durability, and the current field objective. Watch the outer village as well as the gate. Between attacks, discuss fort repairs and upgrades rather than leaving every decision until enemies arrive.

There are no fixed healer, tank, or ranger class requirements implied by these suggestions. They are ways to coordinate the activities and equipment available to your group.
