Check durability before a longer gathering trip or battlefield defense. Doran can repair supported custom equipment for coins. The quote depends on the item and its wear, with relevant progression and rank discounts applied by the service.
Read the offered cost before confirming. Do not assume that two items with the same visible material have identical repair prices or that a damaged item repairs itself between activities.
Upgrades are a separate choice
Equipment upgrades cost coins according to the gear’s tier, upgrade type, and upgrade level. Higher investment should support the activity you intend to do, whether that is gathering or fighting.
Repairing restores condition; upgrading changes the supported item’s capabilities. The blacksmith menu explains the available choice and its requirements, so check those details rather than judging only by the model.
Use the field guide before spending
The item guide lists custom equipment and where it comes from. Compare requirements, durability, and useful statistics before buying a replacement or committing to an upgrade path.
Some equipment is earned from creatures or activities instead of being available to buy. Selling an upgraded item does not mean recovering every coin spent on its improvements.
Prepare at the battlefield too
Doran is also available inside Emberwatch. Check your equipment during preparation so you do not start the next wave with a nearly worn-out weapon.
For a new player, a usable, maintained item is a better plan than spending every coin on gear above your requirements. Keep enough supplies for the activity and remember that ordinary deaths can cost part of your wallet balance.
