Resource pack or modpack?
A resource pack changes how supported content looks and sounds. A modpack installs client modifications and usually requires a specific loader or launcher setup. Hearthvale uses the first approach: a server resource pack alongside server-side gameplay.
Our pack supplies custom visuals and audio for equipment, creatures, menus, and original music. You do not need Forge or Fabric to access Hearthvale’s intended experience.
Accept the pack when joining
Connect using hearthvalemc.com on the supported Java version shown on the Play page. Accept the server’s resource-pack prompt and allow the download to finish.
The pack is required. If you accidentally decline, edit the server entry in Multiplayer, set Server Resource Packs to Prompt or Enabled, and reconnect. You will have another chance to accept.
Give the client time to load
Downloading and applying a pack can take longer on a slower connection or computer. Let Minecraft finish rather than repeatedly disconnecting while it reloads resources. If loading fails, check the pack setting and your connection before trying again.
A required pack does not mean every custom feature can behave exactly like a client mod. Hearthvale builds within vanilla-client capabilities, so the models and interface are adaptations to Minecraft’s existing systems.
Keep the joining steps simple for friends
Send friends the Play page rather than a list of unofficial downloads. They need the correct Java version, the address, and the resource-pack instructions. Open-beta availability is announced in Discord; a working launcher alone does not bypass a temporary access restriction.
